Key role related skills 1.Problem Solving 2.Vendor defect rate reduction 3.Compliance with quality standards and audit requirement Role Objective The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming raw materials, bought-out components, and vendor supplies used in the manufacturing of Fans and Water Pumps. The role involves inspection, testing, vendor quality coordination, rejection handling, and maintaining quality standards as per company specifications. Role Responsibilities Perform incoming quality inspection of raw materials, electrical components, mechanical parts, and packaging materials. Verify material quality against approved specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Conduct testing and inspection of components related to Fans and Water Pumps such as motors, capacitors, shafts, bearings, impellers, housings, etc. Maintain inspection reports, quality records, rejection reports, and NCR documentation. Coordinate with procurement and vendors for quality issues, corrective actions, and material rejections. Monitor vendor quality performance and support vendor audits/improvement activities. Ensure compliance with quality systems, SOPs, and safety standards. Identify recurring defects and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Support production and quality teams in resolving incoming material-related issues. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection and improve process efficiency. Education/Qualification 2-4 years experience in Fans, Water Pumps, Motors, Electrical Appliances, or Consumer Durable manufacturing industry. Knowledge of Incoming Quality Inspection processes. Understanding of electrical and mechanical components used in Fans & Water Pumps. Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Multimeter, Height Gauge, etc. Knowledge of QC tools, root cause analysis, and CAPA. Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or related engineering stream.
