Solar Kit / BOM Sourcing and Vendor Development Costing, Negotiation and Commercial Management 3.Supply Planning, Quality and OTIF Execution Role Objective Build and lead end-to-end procurement for Moglix's B2C Solar business so that standardized, compliant solar kits are available across clusters at the right cost, quality and timeline. Own sourcing strategy, BOM standardization, supplier development, landed-cost optimization, supply planning, warehouse coordination and supplier performance while supporting target gross margins and lean inventory. Role Responsibilities Develop sourcing strategy for residential solar kits covering modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, ACDB/DCDB, earthing, lightning protection, connectors and BOS items. Create and control capacity-wise/state-wise BOMs, approved makes and technical specifications, with a defined deviation-approval process. Identify, evaluate and develop OEMs, distributors, fabricators and alternate suppliers for cost competitiveness, continuity and scale. Lead RFQs, should-cost analysis, benchmarking and negotiations covering price, freight, credit, warranties, payment terms and rate contracts. Maintain live kit costing and price books; benchmark EPC/market prices and support customer pricing and target gross-margin decisions. Convert the sales and installation pipeline into project-wise purchase plans while minimizing stock-outs, excess inventory and ageing. Coordinate warehouse and logistics activities for kitting, labelling, project-wise packing, cut-to-length requirements and OTIF dispatch. Ensure compliance with approved specifications, ALMM/DCR/BIS and PM Surya Ghar requirements, including quality records, traceability and warranties. Manage supplier performance, shortages, replacements and warranty claims; lead the Procurement Executive and maintain procurement MIS, forecasts and vendor scorecards. Work Experience 6-10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, materials or supply-chain management, with exposure to solar, electrical or renewable-energy products. Hands-on sourcing of modules, inverters, structures and BOS items; residential rooftop solar-kit procurement is strongly preferred. Experience in vendor development, RFQs, cost modelling, negotiations, rate contracts, inventory planning and multi-location project supply. Working knowledge of ERP/SAP, advanced Excel and procurement MIS; willingness to travel to supplier, warehouse and partner locations. Exposure to Key Performance Indicators: Landed Kit Cost and Procurement Savings; Gross-Margin Support; OTIF and Stock-outs; Inventory Ageing; BOM Accuracy; Supplier Quality and Replacement TAT; PO Turnaround, Price Variance, Credit Terms and Alternate Supliers Knowledge/ Skills : Deep solar-product and BOM knowledge, cost engineering, negotiation, supplier development and commercial judgement.
