Role Details Team/ Function Enterprise Central /Design and Development Location Noida Designation Deputy Manager/ Manager Role Related Skills Proficiency with CAD tools & design Exposure to SolidWorks Strong knowledge of plastics, sheet metal, motors, electronics integration Reporting Reporting Manager TBD Role Objective The incumbent will be responsible for transforming functional design concepts into fully engineered, manufacturable products. Key Responsibilities Convert functional product / application concept designs and develop them into engineering-ready product assemblies / components Work closely with product managers to understand user needs, ergonomics, and functional requirements. Build these requirements in functional solution design Build detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, stack-ups, tolerance analysis – with production ready product / part design and detailing Lead prototype builds, pilot production runs, and component-level validation Collaborate with external agencies for prototype development, testing, validation and design finalization Develop functional performance models, layouts, performance specs, selection criteria; implement the same in final product / part design Consistently look out for, and evaluate feasibility of, new technologies relevant for the small and medium appliance category Integrate newly developed / sourced parts and components (like sensors, PCBs, control modules, motors, blowers, pumps, filters, etc) into existing product platforms Execute detailed DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R for full product validation. Conduct reliability and performance testing, including but not limited to: Airflow testing (CFM, CADR) Water purification stages Thermal and safety performance tests for parts and products Ensure compliance with applicable performance, safety and suitability guidelines / regulations including, but not limited to, BIS, BEE, IEC, CB, UL Collaborate with Research & Design, and Sourcing teams for part cost optimization and vendor development Provide engineering inputs during tooling, trials, and NPI launches; take ownership of product manufacturability until handover to Production Qualification & Experience Essential/ Desirable Work Experience 4–8 years’ experience in appliance product development. Strong understanding of new product development lifecycle Essential Knowledge/ Skills Strong knowledge of plastics, sheet metal, motors, electronics integration Essential Experience working with suppliers during tooling & mass-production transitions Essential Proficiency with CAD tools & design simulation basics. Exposure to SolidWorks is a must Essential Exposure to air/water flow systems, plastic part design, appliance manufacturing and assembly is required Candidate must be self-starter and capable of working in fast changing work environment Essential Education (B.Tech/B.E or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics streams Essential
