Designation: Manual Tester Location: Mumbai (Ghansoli) Experience: 3 to 4 years Qualification: BSc, MSc, B.Tech, M.tech Job Description: As a Manual QA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications used in the Securities/Capital Markets domain. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to identify defects early and help deliver high-quality software. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including API testing, functional testing, and regression testing. API testing experience is Mandatory.</li></ul> <ul><li>Develop and execute manual test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects promptly.</li><li>Participate in requirements analysis and provide feedback on testability and potential quality issues.</li><li>Perform database testing to validate data integrity and ensure accurate system functionality.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.</li><li>Securities/Capital Markets domain experience is mandatory, as the learning curve is significant without domain knowledge.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.</li><li>Experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual testing.</li><li>Strong knowledge of API testing and experience using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.</li><li>Proficiency in functional testing techniques and methodologies.</li><li>The candidate should have automation awareness. Although this is a manual testing role, they should be comfortable working in an automation-enabled environment and understand the overall automation process.</li><li>Experience testing databases using SQL queries and database management systems (e.g., MySQL).</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.</li><li>Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>We are looking for someone who is a good problem solver, not just a tester who executes test cases. The candidate should be able to analyze issues, understand the root cause, and work closely with the team to drive resolutions.</li></ul>
