Key Responsibilities Manage, monitor, and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL databases in cloud environments Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions on AWS Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies Manage database security, user access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting and cloud-native tools Support database deployments and CI/CD processes in DevOps environments Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure database reliability and performance Troubleshoot and resolve production database incidents and performance issues Implement and support AI/ML-driven database monitoring, predictive analytics, and automation solutions Create and maintain database documentation, standards, and operational procedures Technical Skills Required Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL Cloud Platforms: AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2, EBS, CloudWatch, IAM, S3) Database Administration: Installation, Configuration, Performance Tuning, Replication, Backup & Recovery High Availability: Read Replicas, Multi-AZ Deployments, Failover Management Automation & Scripting: Python, Shell Scripting, Bash Monitoring Tools: CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Grafana, Prometheus DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation (preferred) Security: Database Security, Encryption, Access Management, Auditing AI & Automation: Experience with AI-powered monitoring, anomaly detection, predictive performance analysis, or GenAI-based operational automation Operating Systems: Linux/Unix Administration Required Qualifications Database Administration with MySQL and PostgreSQL Hands-on experience managing databases in AWS cloud environments Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization Experience with backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions Knowledge of DevOps practices and database automation Experience working in Agile environments Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Additional Information Candidate should be comfortable working in 4 PM to 1 AM shift. AWS Certification and database certifications will be an added advantage. Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments is preferred. Experience: 3-7 Years Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Location: Bangalore
