Senior Engineer

The Senior Engineer is responsible for contributing across the end-to-end system integration and validation of lifecycle for wireless communication systems. The role ensures high-quality system behavior by owning integration activities for feature sets, driving validation strategy, and resolving complex system-level issues. Operating with significant technical autonomy, the engineer collaborates across cross-functional teams and supports release, readiness, system performance, and continuous improvement within established system architecture and engineering frameworks. Tejas wireless team has developed high-capacity LTE macro eNodeB, 5G NR gNodeB along with Radio Units as part of end-to-end integrated solutions to their customers. Our systems are already deployed in customer’s commercial network and engineers are working on to enhance the capacity and improve system level performance. Tejas Networks has invested in Wireless product development since 2012 with a vision to create globally deployable telecom RAN solutions. Several of the key components developed by the Wireless R&D team have been installed and commissioned across three continents. We are an active partner for 5G in the Indian Ecosystem and have significantly contributed to India’s standardization efforts in 3GPP, through TSDSI. The wireless team has over 100 patents. As part of the wireless team, you will work on developing products for the next generation of wireless systems. Participate across the system integration lifecycle, including requirement analysis, integration planning, validation, and field testing Analyze system features, dependencies, and interactions to enable phased and synchronized system integration Own and deliver integration testing scope aligned with release objectives and roadmap Lead system integration activities and collaborate with software, hardware, verification, and field teams Identify, analyze, and resolve complex system-level defects through structured debugging and root cause analysis Support user acceptance, field validation, and customer issue resolution Contribute to system stability, performance optimization, and quality improvements Maintain accurate test artifacts, defect tracking, and integration reports Participate in reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives Mandatory Skills: Working in 4G/5G eNB/gNB product with strong involvement in integrating L1, L2, L3 & OAM components as a SIT feature/maintenance release. System Integration testing: Hands-on experience in o End to End testing on 4G/5G eNB/gNB elements. o Testing the Layer 1, 2 and 3 functionality and features. o Validating the functionality compliance to standards, specification and requirements o Verifying 3GPP call flows and scenarios o Using the simulator and emulator for network and traffic simulation (Preferred TM500/E500, Keysight, Simnovous, etc. o Analyzing logs, pcap (FAPI and FH Pcap analysis) and radio parameters analysis. o MAC, RLC and PDCP log analysis Must have good knowledge and hands on experience on wireless and networking protocols Exposure to RU/MU-MIMO and Integration with BBU. Should have worked on Core Features like LA, Power control, Data Forwarding etc. Good experience in using the standard software version controller like GIT/GERRIT Must have good knowledge in SDLC Desired Skills: Good to have Core SIM knowledge to configure RAN and test. Skills of continuous build integration and automation. Hands on experience with Bash and Python scripting Skills in automation and automation framework Experience: 4 to 6 yrs from Telecommunication or Networking background. Education: B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree
