Collected role description

Looking for a Business Analyst with overall understanding on US Healthcare Payer industry with experience in production support domain. The candidate must have hands on experience in requirement gathering, solution, design & implementation along with basic understanding of Java and SQL. Primary Skill: BA Secondary Skill: SQL, Java Qualification: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience • 6 to 9 Years of Business Analyst or Product Specialist experience in US Healthcare Payer industry. • Knowledge on business process flow primarily in the Provider domain along with various sectors within the industry such as enrollment, billing, claims, benefits, utilization management • Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills • Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize and analyze data using SQL, Java Roles and Responsibilities: • Prepare and delivery data driven solutions for customer challenges. • Proactively engage with stakeholders on requirements elicitation • Effectively document design into a high-level process workflow. • Translate business requirements, develop business cases and recommend solutions. Be focused and drive best practices through business processes knowledge. • Perform research and analysis to identify business problems and ability to breakdown complex business issues to come up with solutions through extensive data and system analysis. • Identifies and flags PHI data elements in all requirements documentation; understands basic healthcare IT domain concepts • Manages stakeholder expectations; communicates requirement changes with impact assessment; leads UAT with clear scenarios • Experience in handling tickets, specifically Incident and Routine maintenance • Ability to work in Production support environment Requirements: Must Have: • Sound knowledge of Provider management and current US federal and state laws with regards to healthcare governance and policies, and preferable to have PAHM 250 certification or working towards certification • US Healthcare IT (advanced), HIPAA Business Process Governance, Highmark Business Context • Good communication & Analytical skills • Basic technology understanding in Java, SQL and XML, Web Services. • Good understanding and working experience on the SDLC, Experience in Agile/Scrum practices. • Ability to liaison between lines of business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with team. • Should have the fundamentals of requirement gathering, elicitation, documenting, and transition over to internal and external stakeholders • Ability to work in 3 pm – 12 am shift Good to Have: • Exposure to US Clients would be an added advantage. • Java basic understanding and Ability to write basic SQL’s
