This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and ensure the smooth operation of production equipment. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Develop and improve manufacturing equipment, including machinery, tools, and fixtures. Create detailed design specifications and engineering drawings using CAD software. Prototype and test new equipment to validate performance and reliability. Process Optimization: Analyse current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement. Implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs. Develop and standardize operating procedures and work instructions. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and production issues. Collaborate with maintenance teams to perform regular equipment inspections and repairs. Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements. Project Management: Lead and manage equipment-related projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source parts and services. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to support new product introductions and scale-up processes. Provide technical support and training to production staff on new equipment and procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control measures. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of design changes, equipment performance, and maintenance activities. Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders. Ensure all documentation is compliant with company policies and industry standards. Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation technologies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
