Collected role description

To lead and manage all utility operations ensuring, uninterrupted, efficient, and cost-effective supply of utilities (power, air, water, HVAC, etc.) critical for electronics manufacturing processes such as PCB assembly, magneto motor production, and digital dashboard manufacturing. Principal Duties, Responsibilities, Accountabilities & KPIs: Utility Operations Management · Ensure continuous availability of utilities. · Electrical power (HT/LT systems, DG sets, UPS) · Compressed air systems · HVAC systems (clean rooms, temperature & humidity control) · Water systems (RO, DM, cooling towers) · Monitor and optimize energy consumption and utility efficiency · Ensure zero downtime impacting production due to utility failures Maintenance & Reliability Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance plans Ensure reliability of critical equipment like chillers, compressors, transformers, and AHUs. Lead breakdown analysis and implement corrective actions (RCA). Clean Room & Environmental Control · Maintain clean room standards (for PCB and electronics assembly areas). · Ensure control of ESD, temperature, humidity, and particulate levels. · Ensure compliance with industry standards for electronics manufacturing. Energy Management & Cost Optimization · Drive energy-saving initiatives and cost reduction projects. · Monitor KPIs like specific energy consumption. · Implement automation and digital monitoring systems for utilities. Project Management · Lead utility-related capex projects (installation, expansion, upgrades). · Commission new equipment and ensure smooth integration with production. · Vendor selection, technical evaluation, and contract management Compliance & Safety · Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (electrical safety, pollution control, boiler regulations, etc.). · Drive safety initiatives across utility operations. · Ensure adherence to ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.). TPM & Equipment Reliability · Drive TPM deployment for utility equipment · Improve MTBF and MTTR. · Ensure robust planned and autonomous maintenance culture. Team Leadership & Capability Building · Lead and develop utility team. · Build a problem-solving, data-driven, and ownership-based culture. · Drive training on automotive quality mindset, discipline, and standardization. Digitalization & Continous Improvement · Implement Industry 4.0 practices for utility monitoring · Drive TPM, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives · Use data analytics for predictive maintenance and efficiency improvement. Key Stakeholders: Internal: Production, Projects & Industrial Engineering, Quality, HR, Finance External External Vendors, Auditors
