To show the world what you can do.</h4>Detailed description:Application Engineer Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe Application Engineer is mainly focused on customer service. Primarily engineering support as the customer needs change.Role Description / Responsibilities:<ul><li>Primary point of contact for all technical program related matters. Often on-site at customer.</li><li>Establish and maintain a good and effective Customer relationship:</li><li>Liaison between customer-Visteon PD/ Visteon Mfg.</li><li>Coordination of customer feedback with manufacturing and PD teams.</li><li>Assist customer in areas related to Visteon products.</li><li>Investigate issues/roadblocks and assure customer satisfaction in a consistent manner as per Visteon policies.</li><li>Identify and provide reliable solutions through all stages of the product development.</li><li>Present and explain information in a clear manner to Customer.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and provide updates of open items list.</li><li>Understand and convey Customer’s design requirements and specifications to the PD team.</li><li>Attend / coordinate all Customer meetings as required (PAT, Design Reviews, TDR’s, Software Reviews, etc)</li><li>Develop a working knowledge of the product line and vehicle line to be able to support the customer needs.</li><li>Coordination of part delivery.</li><li>Development and prototype parts for breadboards.</li><li>Ensure latest HW and SW are provided, replace or re-flash as required.</li><li>Ensure exceptions/known limitations are communicated.</li><li>Always confirm parts are in good condition before deliver.</li><li>Coordination of system modules and set-up for Visteon SW and Validation.</li><li>Support the Customer with vehicle level testing (in vehicle and breadboard).</li><li>Prepare deliverables such as test plans, guides, manuals in coordination with Requirements and SW team.</li><li>Perform vehicle/product troubleshooting.</li><li>Engineering Interface</li><li>Participate in Visteon PD team meetings (Whiteboard, CCB, Peer Reviews, PTO, TDR’s, etc.)</li><li>Support change control process for Customer requested changes (DCR’s) as required.</li><li>Quality</li><li>Ensure closure of all Customer issues (AIMs, etc.) via their system in the time required.</li><li>Support TQCM.</li><li>Initiate VPRS for program / warranty issues.</li><li>Customer Deliverables</li><li>Software releases</li><li>Spec version control matrix</li><li>Customer open items</li><li>Part number matrix sheet</li><li>Vehicle validation plan</li><li>Supports</li><li>Re-flashing events</li><li>Breadboard, vehicle and bench testing</li><li>Customer meetings</li><li>Customer part deliverables and reviews</li><li>Design changes request</li><li>Visteon project team meetings</li><li>Upload specifications as required on TcSE</li></ul><h4>About Visteon</h4><h4>Visteon is a global technology company serving the mobility industry, dedicated to creating a more enjoyable, connected and safe driving experience.
