At least 5 years in Hardware Design testing of automotive electronics products like Instrument Panel Clusters and/or Infotainment systems. </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><b>About the Position</b>: The Environmental Validation Engineer has the responsibility for independently verifying that the hardware design of the product meets or exceeds the customers design requirements, leaving no defects undetected and promptly reporting and escalating defects as they occur. </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><b>Location: Pune, India </b></span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><b>Roles and Responsibilities </b></span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Develop the environmental test plan (DVP) utilizing customer specifications and create DVP </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Utilize customer and design specifications to create tests necessary for every circuit on the product </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Knowledge on EMC and ENV OEM specs as well as ISO/ISE standards </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Define/develop detailed EMC test plan as per OEM requirement </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Define/develop detailed ENV test plan as per OEM requirement </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Interact with the OEM to address any technical questions on test plans/procedures </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Work with Program Team to develop the test schedule and incorporate it into the project timing plan </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Work with the team to identify the appropriate test locations </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Develop program specific test equipment specification </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Support Test Operations in the creation of PO’s to support outsourced tests </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Coordinate with external lab/vendors for quotes and test schedule </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Define the measurement techniques and setup necessary to implement the tests </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Work with the team to ensure the product is ready for DV testing </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Travel to test locations for Test setup verification during Engineering or design validation testing Execute Electrical and Environmental Tests as per DVP </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Develop and write detailed project reports to communicate test results in the form of DVP&R </span><br><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><b>Additional Skills </b></span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Knowledge of Automotive Testing Standard </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Good Communication Skills </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Identify investment required for the test process and start PO process for any long lead test equipment needs </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Test equipment design and development </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Track and review Lab equipment and identify items due for calibration </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Knowledge of using Lab equipment like O’Scope, Multimeter, Data acquisition devices, Soldering equipment etc </span><br><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"> • Knowledge basic programming languages C, python, and CAPL scripts and automation software</span></h4><h4><strong><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">More Good Reasons to Work for Visteon Focusing on the Future</span></strong></h4><h4 style="text-align: justify; "><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;">Our company strategy focuses on leading the evolution of automotive digital cockpits and safety solutions.
