About: As an Experienced Shopify Developer at WAC, you will play a crucial role in leading the shopify team and developing and maintaining our Shopify-based e-commerce platform. Your expertise will help us enhance user experience, optimize performance, and implement new features to drive conversion and revenue growth Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to implement visually appealing and user-friendly e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. - Customize and modify existing Shopify themes to align with brand guidelines and enhance user experience. - Develop custom Shopify themes, templates, and components based on project requirements. - Optimize website performance, ensuring fast loading times and responsive design across different devices. - Integrate third-party applications and plugins to extend Shopify's functionality. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, payment gateways, and other e-commerce components. - Stay updated with the latest Shopify trends, best practices, and industry standards to suggest improvements and innovations. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency. - Improving processes continuously and introducing best practices. - Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. - Creating the website architecture. - Conducting website performance tests - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. - Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on other developers' work. - Optimize website performance and functionality - Collaborate with designers and content creators to create engaging user experiences - Implement best practices for SEO and accessibility Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 4+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify development, including custom theme development, custom app development using remix, polaris & prisma, app integration, and performance optimization. - Proficient in Shopify CLI. - Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development workflows. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently on projects. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevOps principles. - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and liquid templating language. - Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and server architecture (Apache or Nginix). - Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus. - Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
