The opportunity We are looking for a Production Support Engineer with strong experience in Postgre SQL and working knowledge of Oracle to support and maintain critical production systems. The role involves monitoring database environments, troubleshooting incidents, resolving production issues, and working closely with application, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure high system availability and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities Provide production support and administration for Postgre SQL and Oracle databases. Monitor database performance, availability, and health. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and production issues within SLA timelines. Perform routine database maintenance, backup, recovery, and housekeeping activities. Support incident, problem, and change management processes, including RCA preparation. Collaborate with application, Dev Ops, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve technical issues. Identify and implement performance improvements and preventive measures. Who are we looking for Qualified BE/B-Tech Computers with 4-5 Years experience Strong hands-on experience with Postgre SQL . Working knowledge of Oracle Database . Experience in production support, incident management, and database troubleshooting. Good understanding of database performance tuning, backup, and recovery. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. Exposure to AWS RDS/Aurora , Azure Database for Postgre SQL , or Oracle Cloud . Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python).Understanding of ITIL processes.
