Senior Full Stack Engineer

Be Zeon's first in-house engineer — working alongside our development partner to strengthen the architecture behind our EV charging network (Node.js/TypeScript/React on AWS): OCPP WebSocket scale, Razorpay payments, OCPI roaming and production reliability. Tech Stack Node.js · TypeScript · React · AWS · PostgreSQL · Redis · OCPP / OCPI. Work mode: In office (Tiruppur). The System An EV charging network on AWS. Node.js and TypeScript backend, React CMS, and the APIs behind our mobile app. Thousands of chargers hold persistent WebSocket connections over OCPP; behind that sits session and meter-value handling, Razorpay payments, and OCPI roaming with partner networks. PostgreSQL on RDS, ElastiCache, ALB and NLB in front of auto-scaling groups, currently moving to a multi-account setup under AWS Control Tower. Energy delivered has more than doubled in the past year, and the architecture is being reworked to keep up. Problems On The Table Right Now Distributing charger connections across multiple OCPP instances with shared connection state in Redis — including routing a remote start/stop to whichever instance holds that charger's socket Keeping long-lived WebSocket sessions stable: load balancer idle timeout against charger heartbeat interval, and reconnect storms when the fleet reattaches at once Migrating production into an isolated AWS account behind a DNS cutover without dropping chargers or in-flight sessions Cross-region PITR replication to a second region with a defined RTO and RPO, and a restore that has actually been tested Database headroom: deciding what is a query and indexing problem versus what genuinely needs a larger instance Payment reconciliation and idempotency on session billing, including the failure paths that matter when someone is standing at a charger The Role The platform is built and run today with our development partner, and that continues. You would be our first in-house engineer — working alongside their team, strengthening our technical judgment on architecture and delivery, and building engineering capability inside Zeon as the network grows. You will help put our engineering standards in place: code review, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, on-call. Requirements 5–8 years shipping and running production systems. Node.js and TypeScript on the backend, React on the front end PostgreSQL depth: schema design, indexing, reading query plans, connection pooling, migrations against live data Hands-on AWS — EC2 or ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, ALB/NLB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch. You have debugged production there, not just deployed to it Experience with stateful or long-lived connection systems — WebSockets, message queues, or similar. You understand why they fail differently from request/response You have carried a pager for something you built Comfortable as the only engineer, and able to sequence work when everything looks urgent Based in or willing to relocate to Tiruppur Useful, Not Required OCPP 1.6J or 2.0.1, OCPI 2.2, or other IoT / telematics protocol work Redis pub/sub or comparable cross-instance coordination Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation Payment gateway integration — Razorpay — including webhooks and idempotency React Native and mobile release cycles
