We are hiring AI-Native Java Engineers who combine strong backend fundamentals with AI-augmented development practices. Your primary stack will be Java + Spring Boot + Microservices — but your real multiplier will be AI. This role is for developers who already work with AI daily. You use AI copilots as your primary coding companion, think in prompts before implementations, understand how LLMs reason, engineer context deliberately, and measure productivity through AI leverage. Key Responsibilities AI-Augmented Engineering Build backend systems using AI copilots like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and ChatGPT Use AI for code generation, refactoring, test case generation, performance tuning, and documentation Apply prompt engineering and context engineering to produce production-grade outputs Continuously experiment with AI tooling to improve development velocity Core Backend Engineering Design and develop scalable Java backend services Architect Microservices using Spring Boot Implement REST APIs, transaction management, and concurrency handling Work with relational databases and JPA/Hibernate Contribute to scalable, cloud-ready systems AI-Aware System Design Design systems that can integrate with AI agents Think in automation layers Build APIs that are AI-consumable Collaborate in building AI-powered enterprise workflows Required Qualifications 2-6 years of professional experience in Java backend development Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture Hands-on experience with REST API design and implementation Working knowledge of relational databases, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL Active daily usage of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar) Understanding of prompt engineering and context engineering principles Experience with transaction management and concurrency handling Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization Preferred Skills Experience building AI-integrated or AI-consumable APIs Knowledge of LLM capabilities and limitations Background in enterprise software development Experience with procurement or supply chain systems Contributions to open-source projects or AI-assisted development tools Strong problem-solving skills with an automation-first mindset Ability to measure and articulate productivity gains through AI tooling What Makes You Stand Out You believe AI is the new IDE You think in prompts before writing code You can demonstrate measurable productivity improvements through AI leverage You're excited about building the future of enterprise procurement with AI at its core
