Summary of the Role We are seeking a skilled Database Developer / Senior Database Engineer to join our team at Emids. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing databases for our healthcare-related applications. Your expertise in database management and optimization will ensure data integrity and accessibility for critical decision-making. Key Responsibilities Design and implement robust database architectures to support application development. Develop and optimize SQL queries to enhance performance for data retrieval. Maintain data integrity, security, and privacy standards across all databases. Collaborate with application developers to create data models aligned with business requirements. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime. Implement database backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data. Stay current with advancements in database technologies and recommend improvements. Document database designs, processes, and procedures for future reference. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in database management. Required Qualifications Must-Have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server. Solid understanding of database architecture and development best practices. Experience in performance tuning and optimization of databases. Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles. Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or NoSQL databases. Experience with cloud database services like AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database.
