Collected role description
We are seeking a Life Science Research Analyst with about 4 years of experience in systematic literature reviews (SLR), targeted literature reviews (TLR) and meta-analysis support. You will execute review projects under the guidance of a project lead, from search and screening through reporting. You will work with AI-assisted review workflows across human, animal and mechanistic evidence streams, with a focus on accuracy, traceability and timely delivery for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and public health clients. Execute SLR and TLR tasks end to end: literature searches, deduplication, title/abstract screening, full-text screening, data extraction and evidence synthesis. Support protocol development, research questions, eligibility criteria and search strategies, including repeat searches and comparison of search outputs against reference sets. Extract structured data with source-level traceability (quotes and page references) using standardized templates, including data from tables and figures. Validate AI-generated screening and extraction outputs, including table and figure parsing, against source documents and human-reviewed results, and document discrepancies. Conduct risk of bias and quality assessments using tools suited to the study type (human observational, animal and mechanistic studies). Support meta-analysis, including preparing data for quantitative synthesis and interpreting outputs. Apply PRISMA and accepted evidence synthesis methods throughout. Prepare evidence tables, summaries, reports and presentations, and produce accessible Word and PDF deliverables. Maintain version control and respond to reviewer comments with documented change logs. Contribute to quality checks and peer review of project outputs. Take part in regular project status meetings and keep trackers up to date.
