Job Description Summary Level 4 will lead technical development and delivery at Team level. Will operate as Individual Contributors, who are specialists in particular technology areas and will be narrower and have deeper focus. Capable of accurate effort estimate for any change. At this level, typically, will be doing code reviews and mentoring junior team members and able to work unsupervised and lead on smaller engineering focused initiative. As a Software Engineer with LTC you’ll be encouraged to work as part of an agile team to guide and implement technical solutions. It will be your responsibility to help promote sound engineering practices and to work alongside team members to architect, design, and implement those solutions. Our team uses Git to manage most of the source code, and Sonar Qube to help monitor code quality. Jira and Confluence are used heavily for task management and documentation. Has established systems engineering or solution architecture experience & appreciation of software engineering methods such as Behaviour & Test Driven Development. Can identify appropriate project, architecture, service or risk management methodologies that enable customer value realisation. Is excited to translate varied technology requirements into relevant solutions. Is well averse in defining solutions using Agile, Emergent & Intentional architecture methods. Has substantive experiences defining architectural runways or solution architecture roadmaps for inclusive systems which span adaptive infrastructure domains at Digital-scale. Has established experiences partnering with other collaborators such as Enterprise, Security, Data & Infrastructure architects to create customer value or address business problems. Holds proficient experiences leading activities associated with Architectural Governance, Risk Management or Compliance processes. Has appreciation for Architectural Frameworks such as TOGAF, Archi Mate, Software patterns or similar. Understands how & where third party products could be appropriate, knowledge of technology purchasing processes & best practise. Be a technical leader both within your team and outside, coaching and/or mentoring other engineers as appropriate. Work with the product and engineering leads to achieve the vision and customer outcomes for your Labs, through defining a strategy and designing solutions to deliver our target cloud architecture. Capable technical leader, who takes ownership of design and delivery and is willing to help grow and guide junior engineers towards appropriate target architectures. Strong architecture skills with a good working knowledge of microservice design patterns, containerised applications, infrastructure as code in containerised environments, embedding Dev Sec Ops principles to support delivery at scale and designing solutions at scale. Required Skills: You will have skillsets to cover below as a minimum; Experienced with the full software development lifecycle and relevant frameworks A proven track record of the Spring boot and / or Quarkus frameworks, Git workflows, testing (TDD, Mock object), and Dev Ops toolchains Designing and developing Microservices using Sprint Boot, Quarkus and Reacting programming with Spring Boot Java and J2EE development expertise , Databases RDBMS and NO-SQL Strong programming skills with a good working knowledge of modern Java Script libraries and tooling, such as React JS, Redux, Webpack and modern toolsets like test automation, Kubernetes and Jenkins Experience with REST APIs Experience of microservice and micro front-end design, container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm) Cloud Deployment experience Phenomenal teamwork and communication skills as well as team leader/mentoring experience Experienced in building and deploying microservices with strong debugging experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Databases and GCP cloud. Expertise in tools such as Dynatrace, CI/CD, GCP cloud deployment, Curl, and Postman. Hands on in Kubernetes and Docker. Preferable to have exposure to Terraform, Istio and Helm charts. Work with the Dev Ops tools team to develop for microservices deployment with CICD pipelines. Experience with Releases and deployments to production, troubleshooting in production. Experience with messaging and integration frameworks like JMS, MQ, and Kafka. Analyses and evaluates the feasibility/relevance of proposals for complex products/services. Develops and amends as necessary with guidance from senior colleagues. Ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems. Ability to multi-task and also work independently to meet the committed deadlines. Identifies and evaluates complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs. Manages the development and/or operation of knowledge management system with guidance from senior colleagues. Analyses specified problems and issues to find the best technical and/or professional solutions. QUALIFICATIONS: 9+ years of relevant experience in design, development and architecting complex software solutions. 8+ years of experience working as a hands-on software developer end-to-end solution. 6+ year of experience in designing and developing micro-front end and microservices. 6+ years of experience working in large financial services; preferably banking industry 4+ years of Application design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud/ Azure Cloud/ AWS (or comparable CSP) Tech Stack: Primary Skills: REACT JS, Java, J2ee, Spring Boot, Spring Boot Reactive programming, Quarkus Microservices, REST & SOAP APIs, RDBMS and/ or No-SQL Databases, React JS, Redux, Webpack, Cloud Experience and Kafka.
