It underpins quoting, billing,<br/>subscription management, and payment orchestration across all Atlassian products and<br/>customer segments. As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will lead high-visibility<br/>programs in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Go-To-Market to build<br/>durable, scalable capabilities for the future.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p><ul><li><p>Drive Platform Strategy &amp; Roadmaps: Partner with Product and Engineering<br/>leadership to define multi-year strategic roadmaps for core commerce capabilities<br/>(billing, quoting, subscription management, and payment processing).</p></li><li><p>Translate Business Strategy into Execution: Connect enterprise business models,<br/>global tax rules, multi-currency strategies, and compliance requirements to clear<br/>platform milestones and cross-team delivery plans.</p></li><li><p>Lead Flagship Commerce Programs: Orchestrate complex, multi-team programs from<br/>inception to rollout, including billing modernization, quote-to-cash process<br/>improvements, platform migrations, and financial controls.</p></li><li><p>Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Foster collaboration and shared accountability<br/>across Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Tax, Billing<br/>Operations, and GTM teams.</p></li><li><p>Champion Delivery &amp; Operational Excellence: Establish structured governance,<br/>manage critical dependencies, identify operational risks early, and ensure predictable<br/>execution across major platform initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Mentor &amp; Elevate the TPM Practice: Coach and mentor peers across the organization,<br/>promoting best practices in program leadership, stakeholder management, and<br/>outcome-oriented delivery.<br/></p></li></ul><p><strong>Impact you’ll have</strong></p><ul><li><p>Scalable Business Backbone: Enable Atlassian’s long-term growth by delivering<br/>robust, scalable commerce and billing platform capabilities.</p></li><li><p>Streamlined Customer &amp; Operations Experience: Reduce operational friction across<br/>quoting, purchasing, and billing journeys for customers, partners, and internal teams.</p></li><li><p>Financial Integrity &amp; Compliance: Embed automated platform controls and audit-ready<br/>processes to ensure billing accuracy, prevent revenue leakage, and maintain<br/>compliance standards.</p></li><li><p>High-Trust Cross-Organizational Delivery: Create alignment and shared momentum<br/>across disparate teams, unlocking faster time-to-market for monetization initiatives.</p></li></ul><p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p><ul><li><p>Commerce &amp; Quote-to-Cash Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of commerce<br/>ecosystems, including billing systems, quoting/CPQ workflows, payment orchestration,<br/>subscription lifecycles, or financial ledger/ERP integrations.</p></li><li><p>Platform &amp; Product-Minded Leadership: Ability to treat internal teams, partners, and<br/>customers as platform stakeholders—framing problems through both a business value<br/>and system-capability lens.</p></li><li><p>Cross-Functional Influence &amp; Collaboration: Demonstrated success aligning diverse<br/>stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership<br/>around a unified vision and plan.</p></li><li><p>Mastery in Navigating Ambiguity: Proven track record of breaking down complex,<br/>multifaceted initiatives into structured roadmaps, clear milestones, and actionable<br/>workstreams.</p></li><li><p>Strategic Problem-Solving &amp; Operational Rigor: Strong capability in dependency<br/>mapping, risk mitigation, and establishing lightweight governance for large-scale<br/>business and technical programs.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Success in this role</strong><br/>Success means delivering a reliable, scalable Commerce platform that supports flexible<br/>monetization models, unifies cross-functional stakeholders around shared goals, and ensures high accuracy and operational efficiency across the entire customer purchasing lifecycle.</p> <p data-compensation='true'>At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs.
