Quantity Surveyor - (Buildings & Places) - Middle East Experience

<h2>Overview</h2><div><span>We </span><span>are </span><span>looking </span><span>for </span><span>an </span><span>experienced </span><b><span>Quantity </span><span>Surveyor </span></b><span>to </span><span>manage </span><span>post-contract </span><span>commercial </span><span>and </span><span>cost </span><span>management </span><span>activities </span><span>across </span><span>construction </span><span>projects.</span><span>The </span><span>role </span><span>involves </span><span>cost </span><span>control,</span><span>contract </span><span>administration,</span><span>valuation,</span><span>change </span><span>management,</span><span>and </span><span>stakeholder </span><span>coordination </span><span>to </span><span>ensure </span><span>projects </span><span>are </span><span>delivered </span><span>within </span><span>budget </span><span>and </span><span>contractual </span><span>requirements.</span><b><span>This </span><span>position </span><span>may </span><span>be </span><span>offered </span><span>as </span><span>either </span><span>a </span><span>contract-to-hire </span><span>or </span><span>a </span><span>regular </span><span>full-time </span><span>role,</span><span>depending </span><span>on </span><span>your </span><span>overall </span><span>experience </span><span>and </span><span>the </span><span>technical </span><span>competencies </span><span>demonstrated </span><span>during </span><span>the </span><span>interview </span><span>process.</span></b></div><p>​</p><h2>Your role</h2><p><i>Commercial & Cost Management</i></p><ul><li>Manage project budgets, cost plans, and cost tracking throughout the construction phase.</li><li>Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.</li><li>Monitor cost performance and identify variances with root cause analysis.</li></ul><p><i>Contract Administration</i></p><ul><li>Administer post contract obligations in accordance with contract conditions (FIDIC/JCT/NEC or equivalent).</li><li>Draft and issue relevant contractual notices (EOT, claims, variations).</li><li>Maintain robust documentation and audit trails.</li></ul><p><i>Measurement & Valuation</i></p><ul><li>Carry out quantity measurements using drawings or BIM models for IFT, IFC drawings.</li><li>Prepare and review monthly and final valuations and certify contractor payments.</li><li>Evaluate subcontractor invoices and verify final quantities.</li></ul><p><i>Change & Claims Management</i></p><ul><li>Evaluate variations, maintain a change register, and prepare justification documents.</li><li>Assess time and cost impacts of changes.</li><li>Support preparation and evaluation of claims and dispute resolution submissions.</li></ul><p><i>Stakeholder Management</i></p><ul><li>Liaise with project teams, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.</li><li>Participate in progress meetings and provide commercial updates.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.</li></ul><h2>About you</h2><ul><li>Strong relevant working experience and knowledge of post contract QS processes.</li><li>Proficiency in measurement software (CostX, or similar).</li><li>Solid understanding of construction methods and contract legislation.</li><li>Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.</li><li>Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / related field.</li><li>Relevant experience in buildings, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects.</li><li>Middle East Post Contract experience is an added advantage.</li><li>Minimum 07–09 years of relevant experience in Post Contract Projects.</li></ul><h2>Rewards & benefits</h2><p><span>Explore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career.</span></p><p><span>Enjoy competitive salaries, employee rewards and a brilliant range of benefits you can tailor to suit your own health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle choices.
