You will work on the requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing of deployed software. </span></p><p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Aptos; font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">You are a capable self-starter, self-motivated software engineer, well-adapted in Software Development Life Cycle. You are also going to develop and maintain CI/CD life cycles and automation software.</span></p> <br><strong>The day-to-day</strong><br><br><p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Aptos; font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">You will be involved into requirements analysis, use cases & user story analysis, high-and low-level design, implementation and unit test, system integration test, deployment monitoring, and sustaining product support. </span></p><p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Aptos; font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Embracing the DevOps philosophy of product development, in addition to your design development activities you are also required to provide operational support of the post-production deployment. You will be responsible for mentoring juniors and technically guiding them.</span></p> <br><strong>What you'll need</strong><br><br><ul><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">5+ years development experience preferably with .Net/C# and Python.</span></li><li lang="en-US" style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Proven experience working with .Net Core 8 and above with production level deployment of nuget packages.</span></li><li lang="en-US" style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.</span></li><li lang="en-US" style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience working with IDEs like Visual Studio 2022, VS Code.</span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Knowledge of multi-threaded applications and inter-process communication (IPC). </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Proven experience in full software development cycle including requirement analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging. </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience in industry standard software design methodologies for development and documentation (eg. SOLID principles). </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience with SCM and issue tracking tools such as Git, Artifactory, JIRA </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">A desire to solve sophisticated software and system issues. </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Strong oral and written communication skills and function in an integrated team that operates across multiple locations. </span></li><li lang="en-US" style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience in technical leadership and mentoring for early career engineers.</span></li><li lang="en-US" style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience as feature lead and driving features end to end.</span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Disciplines. </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Ability to travel up to 10%. </span></li></ul> <br><strong>What will help you on the job</strong><br><br><ul><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience with scripting languages (ie; Bash/Powershell).</span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Knowledge of virtualization and experience with virtualization tools highly desired. </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Familiarity with RF instruments as added advantage.</span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Having knowledge on AWS/Azure/GCP is an added advantage. </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Experience with a Message broker-based application development (such as RabbitMQ). </span></li><li style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 5pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;">Nice to have hands-on development experience with database and java script.</span></li></ul> <br><strong> EEO Statement</strong><br><br><p style="margin: 0px;">Viasat is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, seeking to create a welcoming and diverse environment.
