PurposePerform mechanical engineering activities related to static equipment for thermal, combined-cycle, biomass, waste-to-energy, and utility power generation facilities.The RoleAs a Mechanical Engineer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.<ul><li>Design and specify:<ul><li>Heat Exchangers</li><li>Pressure Vessels</li><li>Storage Tanks</li><li>Silos</li><li>Ducts</li><li>Stack and Chimney Associated Mechanical Items</li><li>Water Treatment Static Equipment</li></ul></li><li>Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, calculations, and requisitions.</li><li>Develop Material Requisitions, TBE, and procurement documentation.</li><li>Review vendor drawings and manufacturing documentation.</li><li>Perform equipment sizing verification and design review.</li><li>Coordinate with stress, layout, piping, civil, electrical, and process disciplines.</li><li>Participate in model reviews and interdisciplinary design reviews.</li><li>Support fabrication, inspection, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with project and statutory requirements.</li></ul> About YouTo be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>5 to 15+ years experience in power projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of:<ul><li>ASME Section VIII</li><li>TEMA</li><li>API 650/620</li><li>EN standards</li><li>Utility and customer standards</li></ul></li><li>Experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering.</li><li>Knowledge of material selection and pressure equipment design.</li><li>Good understanding of steam cycle systems, BOP systems, and water treatment facilities.</li><li>Ability to assess reliability, maintainability, operability, efficiency, noise/vibration, utility consumption and access requirements for power plant packages.</li><li>Ownership mindset to drive assigned packages to closure with proactive follow-up and transparent progress reporting.</li><li>Ability to prioritize critical vendor documents and procurement actions while maintaining quality and schedule discipline.</li><li>Collaborative approach with openness to peer review comments, lessons learned and standardization opportunities.</li></ul>Other Qualifications:<ul><li>Strong written communication for technical clarifications, review comments, minutes and decision records.</li><li>Openness to peer review, mentoring of junior engineers and sharing of reusable standards /checklists.</li></ul>Moving forward togetherWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
