Role Overview We are seeking a proactive Security Operations Analyst to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, responding to, and mitigating security threats across enterprise networks and RHEL-based cloud and on-premise infrastructure. You will leverage enterprise EDR solutions like CrowdStrike and manage complex firewall environments to protect Netcore’s platforms. Key Responsibilities Threat Detection & Incident Response: Monitor security logs, alerts, and enterprise telemetry across CrowdStrike Falcon and SIEM tools to detect, investigate, and remediate threats in real time. Linux Security & Hardening: Secure, audit, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, ensuring compliance with hardening benchmarks (CIS benchmarks, SELinux policies). Firewall & Network Defense: Configure, monitor, and audit perimeter and internal firewalls (Next-Gen Firewalls, IPtables, firewalld) to enforce network segmentation and least-privilege traffic flow. Endpoint Protection Management: Maintain, deploy, and optimize CrowdStrike Falcon agents across cloud workloads, RHEL servers, and enterprise endpoints. Vulnerability & Exposure Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, analyze findings on RHEL and network appliances, and collaborate with DevOps/Infrastructure teams to apply patches. Forensics & Root Cause Analysis: Perform initial technical investigation and root-cause analysis for security incidents, documenting post-incident reviews and preventive measures. Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Information Security role within a high-growth tech or SaaS environment. Operating Systems: Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, system logs (rsyslog, journald), process monitoring, and security controls (SELinux, PAM). EDR/XDR: Advanced operational proficiency with CrowdStrike Falcon (investigating detections, Threat Graph analysis, Real-Time Response, policy management). Firewall & Networking: Strong practical experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or cloud-native Security Groups/NACLs), TCP/IP protocols, routing, VPNs, and packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump). Scripting & Automation: Basic proficiency in Bash, Python, or Shell scripting for security automation and log parsing. Certifications (Preferred): Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), CrowdStrike Certified CCFA/CCFR, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GIAC (GSEC/GCIA). Why Join Netcore?
