BP03 – General Accounting / R2R Senior Specialist Job Title: General Accounting / R2R Senior Specialist Role Level: BP03 (Senior Specialist) Experience: 4–6 Years Role Summary The General Accounting / R2R Senior Specialist is responsible for general accounting, journal processing, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and period-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while supporting exception management, reporting, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustment entries Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations Support intercompany accounting, matching, and settlement activities Support fixed asset accounting including additions, retirements, and depreciation Investigate and resolve reconciling and open items Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit trails Review journals, reconciliations, and close deliverables prepared by the team Perform root-cause analysis on recurring accounting exceptions Support flux/variance analysis and management reporting inputs Coordinate with AP, AR, Tax, and FP&A on cross-functional close dependencies Provide functional guidance and support to junior team members Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements Experience & Skills 4–6 years of experience in General Accounting / R2R or Finance Shared Services Understanding of general accounting, journals, and reconciliations Knowledge of month-end close and accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS awareness) Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work in high-volume, SLA-driven environments
