Oracle VCP – Functional Consultant Role Summary The Oracle VCP Functional Consultant is responsible for delivering expert functional support across key Supply Chain Planning modules, including ASCP (Advanced Supply Chain Planning) and APCC (Advanced Planning Command Center). This role focuses on ensuring smooth planning operations, analyzing planning runs, improving configuration setups, supporting enhancements, and enabling strong user adoption. The consultant will work closely with planners, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to drive accurate, efficient, and responsive supply chain planning processes. Key Responsibilities Provide expert functional support for Oracle VCP applications , ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across core supply chain planning processes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand planning challenges and translate them into actionable functional requirements within ASCP and APCC. Analyze planning runs, including supply–demand pegging, exceptions, constraints , and planning logic, to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions. Review and refine ASCP setups —such as plans, calendars, sourcing rules, constraints, BOMs, and lead times—to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness. Support APCC activities , assisting users with dashboards, analytical views, and KPI interpretation to enhance planning insights and decision-making. Participate in enhancement initiatives by conducting requirement workshops , preparing functional documentation, and recommending improvements aligned with supply chain best practices. Oversee functional testing across planning cycles to ensure enhancements, configuration changes, and fixes meet business expectations. Monitor planning engines, data flows, collections processes, and execution cycles to ensure timely generation of accurate supply, demand, and capacity plans. Provide functional training and planning-process guidance to planners and business teams to improve adoption and utilization of VCP capabilities. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, planning processes, SOPs, data flows, and enhancement designs for strong knowledge continuity within the SCM – Oracle VCP team. Required Skills & Experience Hands-on experience with Oracle VCP modules , particularly ASCP and APCC. Strong understanding of planning concepts such as MRP/MPS, constrained planning, pegging, capacity planning, and forecast consumption. Ability to analyze planning results, troubleshoot exceptions, and recommend configuration or process adjustments. Experience in conducting functional testing, requirement analysis, and documentation. Familiarity with planning data flows , collections, execution cycles, and integration with upstream/downstream modules. Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively across planning, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain execution teams. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Oracle EBS (INV, BOM, WIP, PO) or Fusion SCM planning modules. Understanding of APCC KPI modeling, dashboard creation, and analytic frameworks. Experience supporting global supply chain planning environments. Familiarity with performance tuning of ASCP plans. </ul
