Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency ) Must-Have Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF . Experience in Mainframe application development, maintenance, enhancement, impact analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting . Experience in production support, incident management, defect resolution, and root cause analysis . Strong understanding of batch processing, batch monitoring, failure analysis, job restart, and recovery procedures . Experience working with DB2 databases , SQL queries, and database-related support activities. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, change management, and deployment processes . Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or similar incident management platforms. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills wit h the ability to work independently and within distributed teams. Good-to-Have Knowledge of Easytrieve, REXX, and Mainframe utilities . Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M or equivalent. Exposure to utility, billing, customer information systems (CIS), finance, insurance, banking, or other transaction processing applications . Experience supporting critical batch cycles and large-scale production environments. Knowledge of Mainframe modernization initiatives and integration with distributed systems. Exposure to DevOps, automation, and monitoring solutions in Mainframe environments. </table
